Mainseal II is a two component polymeric compound formulated for sealing leaking spigot and socket joint on cast iron gas pipes. The product is supplied in a side-by-side cartridge fitted with a static mixer nozzle and is dispensed using a specially designed application gun. The low viscosity and surface tension of the initially mixed material give it excellent wicking properties. As this material relies on the reaction of the two mixed components to form a soft flexible polymer it is not dependent on the absence of oxygen to cure. It will work in either aerobic or anaerobic conditions. |
