ALH SYSTEMS PRESENTS A NEW RANGE POLYURETHANE RESINS THAT OPERATE AT 155 oC
Polyurethane resin specialist ALH SYSTEMS LIMITED has developed a unique range of flexible resins that operate continuously at 155 oC and fulfil the stringent Class F requirements.
The polyurethane resins do not suffer either reversion or oxidation at elevated temperatures making them suitable for under-bonnet automotive applications. The NP1850 low viscosity system cures to a Shore A hardness of 87. The softer NP1851 is intumescent and is being applied in electronic ignition systems already. The great advantage of these polyurethane resins is the flexibility in the curing and performance characteristics. Future variants in this range will include a high thermal conductivity, flame-retardant product.

ALH SYSTEMS GOES BEYOND RoHS COMPLIANCE AND OFFERS A NON-CLASSIFIABLE POLYURETHANE ENCAPSULATION RESIN
Polyurethane resin specialist ALH SYSTEMS LIMITED has developed the safest two-part resin system. The NP2500 resin system goes well beyond the RoHS directive and contains NO Mercury catalysts, NO Phthalate plasticisers or NO monomeric Isocyanates and is classified as NON-HAZARDOUS according to the latest EC criteria.
NP2500 offers: -
- Superb water resistance and outstanding electrical properties.
- The optical transparency and low tear strength allows component identification and removal.
- The soft cured resin is flexible down to –50 OC and is suitable for the most delicate electronic applications where thermal or mechanical shock is encountered.
It is likely that NP2500 will find further applications in wet and humid environments with manufacturers of sonar equipment, control modules, umbilicals and sensors being particularly interested.

System IV Drilling Machine
The System IV drilling machine has been design specifically for use with the latest core hole technology currently being trialed by National Grid. This technology enables gas free entry into live gas mains from road level. Equipment is currently being design for camera entry, flow stopping and other applications.
Small hole working is unlike conventional excavations as all work is done through an 18" core hole that is cut without the need for pneumatic drills.
This system is currently under trial also in the USA by PLCS Inc. and major US utility company’s.
ALH have been leaders in the field of gas free working for over 25 years.
