ALH-Systems is delighted to welcome Mike Nilsen as Group Technical Manager. With more than 40 years of experience in the gas and utilities sector, Mike offers extensive expertise in underground infrastructure, engineering solutions, and product innovation.

Mike started his career in 1980 with British Gas Wales, specialising in mains installation and leakage control before advancing into supervisory positions. In 1989, he joined Steve Vick Ltd., concentrating on gas mains flow-stopping and later overseeing the company’s developing directional drilling division.

In 1999, he established Olsen Plant & Services Ltd., overseeing the business until 2024. The company offered directional drilling, pipe cutting, and trenching solutions across various utility sectors.

With a strong background in engineering production, product development, and the application of technologies for real-world construction environments, Mike’s expertise will be invaluable in driving technical innovation at ALH-Systems across all three companies in the group: ALH Systems, Pipe Equipment Specialists, and Flowstop.
