Bonded saddle for gas steel pipelines

ALH Systems has developed an innovative bonded saddles system that can be applied to a large diameter Cast, Spun or Steel mains, which enables access to the utility network without the need for full encirclement clamps or chains.

Utilising advanced resin technology, the saddle can be installed and the main drilled with minimal excavation and customer disruption.

No need for deep excavation work. Bonded saddles only require the crown of the main to be exposed.

• Ideal for camera insertion, installation of Donkin valve and top tees.

• Faster curing time.

• Does not require a shot blasting process before installation – cleaning achieved through mechanical tooling

• Two different saddles to work with System 1 (up to 3” drilling),

• Saddles are available in sizes ranging from 15” – 48”.

Most saddles available from stock – get in touch at sales@alh-systems.co.uk

SAVINGS and BENEFITS

The principle of this Bonded Saddles design is to reduce the need for deep excavation normally needed to access the main. With our Bonded Technology, only the crown of the main is required to be exposed.

Reducing the need for excavation can potentially result in significant cost savings related to initial excavation, backfill and lane rental charges/road closures. Not only are there benefits of cost reduction, but the risk to operators is also reduced by keeping them out of deep excavations.

Our Design

This innovative system is unique to ALH Systems. We manufacture both the metallic components and the adhesive resin that make up this kit in-house.

Our team of specialist design engineers and material scientists have worked together to develop the first-of-a-kind Bonded Technology for the gas industry.
